Counterfeit-proof PVC-film packaging

This project is based on the fact that certain pigments, even in very small doses (<0.001%), can be used to create geometric symbols in pigmented PVC film used for packaging manufactured goods. The method designed by Klöckner Pentaplast makes it possible to measure these and to store them in the memory, even in random distribution. The aim is to distinguish the original packaging from counterfeit product packaging. It is even possible, by analyzing the doses used in counterfeit packaging, to trace these back to their origin. The process was designed to produce an infinite number of symbols from a limited number of basic figures, in order to minimize the use of data storage space.
