ALUPLAST
energeto® is a window without a metallic thermal bridge in the frame-sash construction. The system boasts high heat insulation values in all versions and profile depths. This contributes actively to the reduction of CO2, the saving of heating costs and consequently to environmental protection. Moreover energeto® combines outstanding technology with an appealing design. The insulation properties of the metal-free window obtained by bonding window sash with the insulating glass pane as well as by replacing the steel reinforcement by fiber-glass reinforced plastic strips have been further improved by foaming the profile chambers with special polyurethane foam. By this means, energeto® now reaches unprecedented insulation Uw-values of 0.61 W/m2K.

Category:InnovationAluplast succeeded – in cooperation with the mould supplier Greiner Extrusionstechnik – in constructing a revolutionary 8-fold-mould for a glass border profiles extruder, whereby the principle of the construction is based on 2 x 4 profile lanes. The high output (700 kg/h) of the Cincinnati extruder used for the production allows the synchronous production of glass border profiles in 8-fold execution. This is a completely new extrusion technology, which enables the Austrian site of ALUPLAST to secure a profitable production despite relatively high labor costs.

Category:InnovationIn the car industry bonded windows are not a new thing, but for the classical construction of windows a new era has begun with the technique of bonded window panes. By virtue of their lean appearance the dedicated sash profiles for bonded window panes allow more light to enter the building. This new technique improves the insulation by 15%, avoids the use of steel reinforcement, and the safety of the building as components are glued.

Category:InnovationEcologically responsible operations preserve the resources and give a company a positive profile. Aluplast is gradually changing some selected window profiles to core technology. In the new process the visible surface of the profiles are made of new material, whereas the invisible internal web is made of ecologically valuable recycled material. The production of profiles with recycled cores is labor-intensive: sorting the pure PVC segments, milling them to obtain granulate, using a more expensive extrusion die and an additional extruder to produce the core. Core technology costs more, but some virgin PVC is saved and the process also saves energy in the production of the material. Therefore, using recycled material for new windows is both sustainable and smart.
