Award 2007

The winners

At the occasion of the international plastics trade fair K2007, which has taken place in Düsseldorf, SolVin organized the third edition of its European competition “The SolVin Awards for PVC Innovation”. An independent jury has choosen five winners among all of the 107 projects submitted. SolVin rewarded the three most innovative projects by a Gold SolVin Award of 50.000 EUR, a Silver SolVin Award of 25.000 EUR, a Bronze SolVin Award of 10.000 EUR and has also awarded two special prizes of 7.500 EUR in the category of Recycling and Design.
For this 3rd edition, SolVin wanted to highlight the importance of two specific activities : Recycling and Design. This is the reason why two prizes of 7 500 EUR each have been attributed to these categories.

The Golden Award went to Technoplast Kunststofftechnik for its TC One Profile Calibration system.

  • Profile Calibration system – New approach to extrusion tooling
  • Reducing energy needs in production by up to 80%
  • Reducing weight and improving handling

The Silver Award went to Inoutic for its Integrated Sash window profile.

  • Combining structural glazing with warm edge insulated glass and stability of oversized window sashes
  • Large distance between single glass planes
  • Allow integrated shading systems and filling with insulating gas

The Bronze Award went to M.SCHEICHENBAUER for its Forma® system.

  • Building system based on PVC components : Pillars, beams, walls, roofs, partition walls...
  • Can be filled with concrete, covered by plaster and steel reinforced
  • Cuts costs and time of building

The Design Award went to Garage Solutions for Zapet.

  • A system allowing the use of all walls in a garage
  • Widen the space available in the house
  • A smart combination of rigid PVC profiles

The Recycling Award went to Ceplastik for its PVC flooring with a Vinyloop® player.

  • Flooring with double layer
  • Recyclable Flooring (2nd life for PVC)
  • Use of Vinyloop : regenerated vinyl material coming from end-of-life articles

The first Special Prize of the Jury went to Graboblast for its Grabo SafeDecor.

  • Safety PVC Floor Covering
  • Transparent top coat
  • Excellent slip resistance throughout whole life span

The second Special Prize of the Jury went to LONCAR for the Walltex-867®.

  • Safety flexible fence for motorway
  • High tenacity polyester fabric coated with Plastisol
  • Designed to avoid motorcycle injuries and fatalities in case of collision with security road fences
